 WC3L-Manager Who is the best manager? |
About a week from now, the WC3L will start with its new season. 24 teams with 148 players fight for the championship. This time, you will get the opportunity to be a teammanager yourself in our second edition of the WC3L-Manager.
Participating is easy: We will give a virtual budget to you, so you can buy six players for your personal WC3L-team. If these players compete in the real WC3L-matches, you will gain or lose points. You gain points for every map your players win and you lose points for every map they lose. Besides, there will be bonus-points for specific achievements of your players. They are listed in the rules below. In the middle of the season, there will be a phase in which you can exchange some of your players who did not perform well up to then. We will update the ranking of all managers weekly and crown the best managers of each playday and the whole season.
To sign up for the game, just follow the link below to our forum. There you can post your personal team matching the criteria in the rules below. You can edit your team as often as you wish until the sign-up ends on next wednesday, October 28th, 23.59 CET.
Each player has a specific price. You see the price-list by clicking on the link below. The price for each player does not correspond only with his skill. We also considered his previous achievements in the WC3L and his chances to really play in the new season. So if you think you found an underrated player, just buy him for your team. Complaining about the prices won't help anybody.

The rules
You have to buy six players for your team. Therefore you have a budget of 18.000 Euros. If you need less money, you do not have to spend all. It is forbidden to choose the same team as another participant did before. For all who do this accidently, there will be an announcement on next thursday, so everyone can correct his mistakes.
Your players gain or lose points for you considering the following rules:
- You gain a point for every map one of your players wins, no matter if it was 1on1 or 2on2
- You lose a point for every map one of your players loses, no matter if it was 1on1 or 2on2
- Default wins are not counted
For the following achievements of your players you will also gain points:
- For every player that will be seeded on at least five playdays, you gain 10 points.
- For every player that wins all of his maps in the season and is seeded on at least five playdays, you gain 50 points.
